how long do things take to dry?
It depends on the conditions. If the weather is dry and windy, sheets can dry in an hour and a half; if very still and humid, heavy towels and cottons can take up to 24 hours.

any tips on hanging our washing?
Mull is windy, so for safety we like to double sheets right over the line, or even better, over two lines, for faster drying. And you’ll save ironing if you smooth out the sheets and edges when hanging them.
Pillowcases will dry better if you let them sag open to admit the wind. And towels will dry softer and fuller if you shake and snap them before and after hanging. Obviously, smaller things should be hung lower.

how should we care for our Dryer?
If movable, ensure it is anchored in use and removed in high winds. A little clear silicone lubricant on the bolts between ridge and leg plates helps fold the legs. If fixed, from time to time use the hex key to tighten the grub screws, and tension the lines for the sake of the washing and to brace the tent together. Wash lines, cover and frame with water and detergent. If the cover gets dirty, for example from mould from trees, you can take it off, lay it flat and scrub it. An electric scrubber and pressure washer will save you a lot of work.
